A delightful day, with sunshine, light winds and tractable sheep. We did only a relatively short distance but the sheep were grazing most of the time. The NE side of the gully is a bit hard for the sheep to find: they have to make their way through fairly dense cutting sags (lomandra longifolia) and gorse to get well down into the better forage. We just let them find their way, blocking any attempts at returning uphill, but otherwise not interfering. It was exceedingly peaceful, and lovely to not be battling the wind as we did on Thursday. In retrospect, it may be that the sheep were even more grateful than I was for the cessation of wind. After my cup of tea, I stretched out and had a mini-nap in the sun. Doesn't get much better than this! Oh, and confession time--I've been taking the Polaris partway to the sheep, to give my ankle a bit of a rest--still having issues with it. p.s. Computer is back, but a number of things aren't yet working quite right...at least I can do the maps, now!
